Smarter Weather sources data from the following parties, as acknowledged below. Developers building on the Smarter Weather APIs and MCP servers are expected to preserve and pass through these attributions in any end-user-facing product, and to comply with the upstream licences (for example, the ODbL attribution requirement for OpenStreetMap). The same attribution text is surfaced programmatically in the OpenAPI info.description and MCP server.info so that downstream agents and documentation pipelines receive it automatically.
National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)
Observations, forecasts, model output, and radar imagery originate from NOAA and are used in the public domain per U.S. Government policy. Visit noaa.gov.
National Weather Service (NWS)
Point forecasts, alerts, and related public-safety information are published by the NWS, an office of NOAA, and are used in the public domain. Visit weather.gov.
